Although the actors were friends long before the Disney + Christmas film, they didn't form a relationship until sometime in 2020. The source said, "Anna has been dating Bill quietly for over a year… they're both private people, and with the pandemic, it was easy to keep it quiet."
Although PEOPLE reached out to their representatives for confirmations, they declined to respond. It's no surprise there since the source alleged that they love their privacy – that bit must be true if we haven't heard of this relationship until now.

A little over a year ago (the alleged length of Anna and Bill's romance), Bill Hader, 43, broke up with his then-girlfriend Rachel Bilson, 40. He and Rachel dated seven years after appearing in the rom-com The To-Do List in 2013. At the time of the movie, Bill and Maggie Carey were still married.
Anna, who's never been married, doesn't believe in the romantic concept of "The One." She once said her film Love Life accurately depicted her romantic life. The Pitch Perfect actress said, "People come into your life and grow, and they change you, and what you learn from them might be really positive, or it might be negative."
